LBD

De preto não me comprometo! Podia ter sido esta a premissa, mas na verdade não foi. Estava de férias e a única coisa que queria era simplificar. E há lá alguma coisa mais simples do que um little black dress? Se há digam-me já o quê!
Mas voltando ao início, isto foi o que vesti no dia que reservei para jantar no hotel com o meu namorado durante a estadia no Monte Prado. Usei um vestido simples e básico, dei uma secadela ao cabelo depois do banho e pus umas sandálias de duas tiras e uns brincos. Acho que no meio de tanta simplicidade resultou bem o look, e tenho a certeza que vou repetir, porque sim, essa moda de não repetir look não cola aqui comigo!
Entretanto hoje é sexta e vou entrar de férias novamente! Já devem estar a imaginar o que aí vem... slow down, é essa a minha vontade! Se conseguir fotografar algum look acreditem que será nesta vibe, estou muito nesta onda de descomplicar. Antes de partir para sul vou tentar agendar alguns posts, mas se não nos virmos por aqui até Setembro podem sempre acompanhar-me mais de perto no insta - @joandcompany. Boas férias*

I do not compromise in black! That might have been the premise, but it really wasn't. I was on vacation and all I wanted to do was simplify. And is there anything simpler than a little black dress? If there is, tell me what!
But coming back to the beginning, this was what I wore on the day I booked to have dinner at the hotel with my boyfriend during our stay at Monte Prado. I wore a simple, basic dress, dabbed my hair after the shower and put on two-striped sandals and earrings. I think that in the middle of so much simplicity it was a good look, and I'm sure I'll repeat, because yes, this trend of not repeating look doesn't stick here with me!
However today is Friday and I'm going on vacation again! You must already be imagining what's coming... slow down, that's my will! If I can photograph some look believe that it will be in this vibe, I am very much in this wave of uncomplicating. Rain coat

Eu sei que o ano já vai a meio e até que há muito boa gente que já fez praia, mas a mim esta chuva não me incomoda nem um bocadinho. Aliás, não fosse ela e eu não estava a usar esta capa de chuva que adoro. Há uns anos partilhei aqui no blog o desejo por uma capa de chuva em plástico, assim, destas mesmo impermeáveis. Quem se lembra? Na altura recebi mensagens a perguntar onde é que havia uma capa daquelas à venda. Sim, porque Burberry não é para todos... Na verdade a Pull, sempre jovem e irreverente, já tinha um modelo nas lojas, nada disto de transparências, mas um daqueles modelos bem giros, com capuz. Estava disponível em amarelo canário e azul marinho, e até hoje me arrependo de não ter comprado em azul. Mais tarde, também na Pull (outlet) encontrei esta, assim meio transparente, preta, com um ar de “vou só ali levar o lixo e já venho”. Uma capa nada pomposa, eu sei, mas era mesmo isso que eu queria, uma capa transparente, pouco chamativa e realmente impermeável! Não a usei tanto no inverno porque não é a coisa mais quente a habitar o meu armário, mas agora nesta altura do ano está perfeito, sem deixar passar a chuva e mais fresca que as gabardinas. Ainda ouvi um “Ahh, a Joana já aderiu à moda das capas do Primavera Sound…”, mas na verdade isto já era moda aqui em casa antes do Primavera e mesmo antes da Zara se ter aventurado nisto dos plásticos. Posto isto não sei do que estão à espera para seguir este blog religiosamente, tendências e adivinhação é comigo!

I know that the year is already halfway through and there are many good people who have already went to the beach, but to me this rain doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, if it wasn't the rain I wasn't wearing this raincoat that I love. A few years ago I shared here the desire to have a plastic raincoat, one of those that really don't let dthe rain enter. Who remember? At the time I got messages asking where there was a coat like that for sale. Yes, because Burberry isn't for everyone... Actually Pull, always young and irreverent, already had a model in the stores, nothing of transparency, but one of those really cute models, hooded. It was available in canary yellow and navy blue, and to this day I regret not having bought in blue. Later, at Pull (outlet) I found this one, so transparent, black, with an air of "I'm just going to take the garbage and I'm coming". A not pompous cover, I know, but that's what I wanted, a transparent, unobtrusive and really waterproof cover! I haven't used it so much in winter because it's not the hottest thing on my closet, but now for this time of year is perfect, not letting the rain pass and cooler than the raincoats. I even heard an "Ahh, Joana already joined the fashion of the covers of Primavera Sound...", but in fact this was already fashionable here before that festival and even before Zara had ventured into plastics. Given this I don't know what are you waiting for to follow religiously this blog, trends and divination is with me!

Ando desaparecida daqui e qualquer dia voces "despedem-me", mas não tem sido pêra doce arranjar tempo para o blog. Junho é um mês cheio de coisas a acontecer, festas e aniversários são um fartote, tudo isto a juntar à rotina habitual. E saldos, os saldos já andam aí... mas hoje venho falar-vos da Mariana, porque por muito pouco tempo que eu tenha, não quero deixar escapar esta rúbrica. Sei que vocês adoram!!
Foi precisamente numa das festas de Junho que atirei pro ar um "Mariana, preciso fotografar alguém para o meu blog este mês, alinhas?", a resposta dela foi logo sim, e eu gosto tanto de gente assim, despachada!! A Mariana é uma das melhores amigas da minha irmã, e como podem ver pinta não lhe falta! Vocês já devem estar carecas de "me ouvir dizer" que less is more e que os melhores looks são sempre os mais descomplicados, mas são mesmo, olhem bem para ela! A par disso gosto da maneira de ser da Mariana, também ela descomplicada. Ontem quando fui ter com ela levei-lhe um mimo, nada de especial (só vão perceber se tiverem visto os meus stories), mas ela amou! E eu adoro isso, ter pessoas por perto que valorizam pequenas coisas, sim, porque é disso mesmo que são feitos os dias felizes, e aquele momento foi adorável!

I'm gone from here and any day you guys say "goodbye", but it hasn't been sweet pear to find time for the blog. June is a month full of things happening, parties and birthdays are a must, all this to join the usual routine. And balances, the balances are already there... but today I come to speak to you about Mariana, because for very little time that I have, I don't want to miss this rubric. I know you love it!!
It was precisely at one of the June parties that I threw a "Mariana, I need to photograph someone for my blog this month, do you want?", her response was already a yes, and I like people like that, dispatched!! Mariana is one of my sister's best friends, and as you can see she's so cool! You must already be bald of "hear me say" that less is more and that the best looks are always the most uncomplicated, but really, look at her! Besides, I like Mariana's way of being, she's also uncomplicated. Yesterday when I found her I gave her a treat, nothing special (you will only notice if you have seen my stories), but she loved it! And I love it, to have people around who value small things, yes, because that's what happy days are made of, and that moment was lovely!

Vacation mode

Estou de volta ao trabalho, aos treinos e aos posts aqui no blog. Setembro é mais do que qualquer outro mês o mês dos recomeços, uma espécie de Janeiro já com gostinho a missão cumprida. Sim, porque não vamos desvalorizar tudo o que já conseguimos desde o início do ano até agora! E isto agrada-me, gosto de recomeços, de voltar à definição das prioridades, de voltar ao foco. O descanso é bom mas voltar em força é melhor ainda!! Ainda assim estava difícil alinhar os planetas e vir cá partilhar este look que fotografei nas férias. Foi o único que fotografei, estive pouco mais do que uma semana a sul e como me cansei de parecer a filha adoptada da família, qual floco de neve eu estava, aproveitei o sol. Não se nota muito porque não posso deixar no saco o protector solar de jeito nenhum, continuo a parecer adoptada, mas ok, descansei muito, li muito, levei roupa de treino mas só corri um dia e comi imenso gelado. Bolas de berlim foram nulas, não é coisa que eu adore... E da mala de roupa que levei nem metade vesti (toma nota Jo, para o ano meia mala chega!). Estou cada vez mais zen, mais less, e este vestidinho é tudo isso. Simples, descomplicado e lindo! Se vos disser que só custou 5€ acreditam?

I'm back to work, training and posts here on the blog. September is more than any other month the month of the beginnings, a kind of January already with taste of mission fulfilled. Yes, because we won't devalue everything we have already achieved since the beginning of the year so far! And this pleases me, I like to start again, to return to the definition of priorities, to return to focus. The rest is good but back in strength is even better!! Still it was difficult to align the planets and come here to share this look I photographed on vacation. It was the only one I photographed, I was little more than a week at south and as I tired of looking like the adopted daughter of the family, what snowflake I was, I enjoyed the sun. It's not very noticeable because I can't leave the sunscreen in any way, I continue to seem adopted, but okay, I rested a lot, I read a lot, I took training clothes but I only ran one day and ate lots of ice cream. Berlin balls were nil, it's not something I adore... And the suitcase I took not even half I dressed (notes Jo, for the next year half suitcase is enough!). I'm getting more zen, more less, and this dress is all that. Simple, uncomplicated and beautiful! If I tell you that it only cost 5€, do you believe?

New in!

E antes de vos mostrar mais looks tenho de vos mostrar as minhas últimas aquisições. Duas das coisas que recebi pelo meu aniversário, algumas peças ainda dos saldos e um conjunto que comprei há dias.

Comecemos pelo que recebi no aniversário. Sabem quando as pessoas já vos conhecem tão bem que vos oferecem prendas que vocês vão amar?! Foi exatamente o que aconteceu aqui. Recebi estas sandálias deusas da coleção das manas Jenner, e esta t-shirt branca com lantejoulas. Vocês não estão bem a ver o quanto gostei disto, sério!!!!

Dos saldos vieram ainda o vestido preto, que aliás já viram no posto do Little Black Dress (em conjunto com as sandálias). Acho sinceramente que foi uma excelente aquisição e que vai ficar no armário por anos, pelo corte que é clássico, e pela cor, claro! Outra coisa que não vai sair de cena são estas Bimba Y Lola que encontrei a 50%. Sandálias rasteiras de tiras ficam sempre bem, e apesar de não as terem visto por cá acreditem que já as usei muitas vezes, são lindas!!!! Entretanto, encontrei também esta camisola de malha com tachas na Mango, que foi um achado daqueles, e as jeans cinza escuras da Tiffosi. Ando muito in love com calças com faixas na lateral. Na verdade este gosto não é novo, sempre gostei de looks com uma vibe mais desportiva e estas riscas laterais são um excelente apontamento para nos ajudaram a conseguir isso. Acho que vou usar imenso estas duas últimas peças na próxima estação, os saldos são sempre bons para comprar roupa para a estação seguinte, anotem a dica!

Novo também é o vestido do último post, que não fotografei para aqui. Comprei-o numa feira, tem uma textura tipo linho, botões de madeira e fez imenso furor pelo insta. Custou-me apenas 5€, acreditam? Já não me lembrava de ir a feiras e encontrar coisas tão giras!

E por fim, também comprado numa feira, o conjunto de calça e blazer tipo quimono com o estampado do momento, mas sobre isso vou falar melhor no próximo “Trend Alert!”. Fiquem ligados que depois dele há look com este conjunto!

And before I show you more looks I have to show you my latest purchases. Two of the things I received for my birthday, some pieces still from the balances and a set I bought days ago.

Let's start with what I got for my birthday. Do you know when people already know you so well that they offer you gifts that you will love?! That's exactly what happened here. I got these goddess sandals from the Jenner's sisters collection, and this white t-shirt with sequins. You're not sure how much I enjoyed this, seriously!!!!

Out of the balances came the black dress, which you have already seen at the Little Black Dress post (along with the sandals). I honestly think it was an excellent acquisition and it will stay in the closet for years, by the cut that is classic, and by color, of course! Another thing that will not leave the scene are these Bimba Y Lola that I found at 50%. Strappy sandals are always good, and although you have not seen them around here believe me that I have used them many times, they are beautiful!!!! However, I also found this knit sweater with tacks on Mango, which was a find of, and the dark gray jeans from Tiffosi. I'm in love with pants with stripes on the side. In fact this taste is not new, I always liked looks with a more sporty vibe and these side stripes are a great way to help us achieve this. I think I'm going to use these two last pieces immensely next season, the balances are always good to buy clothes for the next season, write down the tip!

New is also the dress of the last post, which I have not photographed here. I bought it at a fair, it has a linen texture, wooden buttons and made immense sucess on intsgram. It cost me only 5€, do you belive? I no longer remember going to the fairs and finding things so cute!

And lastly, also bought at a fair, the set of kimono/blazer and pants with the print of the moment, but on this I'll speak better on the next "Trend Alert!". Stay connected, after him there is a look with this set!

Slow down

Estamos na última semana do verão e por aqui o tempo continua bem bom. Claro que não está mais tanto calor como em Agosto, mas ainda consigo andar de camisolas e tops de alças, t-shirts, vestidos e saias. Num ou noutro dia lá precisei de um blazer ou quimono de manhã cedinho ou de noite, mas ainda está calor. E o que é que eu quero com este paleio todo? Não, não é conversa de circunstância vir aqui falar do tempo. Só me chateia um bocado ver imensa gente já cheia de frio e em colecções de outono dos pés à cabeça quando ainda temos muitos dias com máximas perto dos 30º!! Really!!! Eu já dei uma olhada nas novas colecções e já me apetece o frio para vestir-me em layers, cores mais escuras, malhas, mas calma... O chinelo no pé e a sandália ainda estão mais do que permitidos! Porque já andam de botas, camisolas com gola e manga comprida, casacos de couro... se está tanto calor? Estamos em Setembro, ainda está bom tempo, não andem por aí cheias de roupa da nova colecção, qual vitrina da Zara, quando o verão não virou costas ainda! Não gosto deste corrupio que algumas influencers e celebridades imprimem na moda, parece que estão sempre à espera da nova tendência, usam sem pensar, até à exaustão, até enjoar e já não conseguirmos ver mais aquela peça na frente, mesmo que ainda estejam 25º vestem o casaco de pelo, querem sempre ser as primeiras, as pioneiras, as vanguardistas daquela tendência, mas depois acaba por ficar tudo meio descontextualizado e irreal, ou acham que faz sentido andar de gola alta com umas botas acima do joelho agora? O que vão vestir quando estiver a cair neve? Não sei, mas não me agrada esta pressa toda. Pronto, era isto, estava a precisar desabafar! Enquanto isso, e até o frio voltar (e eu quero que volte), podem contar com coisas assim, mais frescas!

We're in the last week of summer and the weather here still very good. Of course it's not as hot as August, but I still can wear sweaters and tank tops, t-shirts, dresses and skirts. On one day or another I needed a blazer or kimono in the early morning or at night, but it's still hot. And what do I want with this whole talk? No, it's not a talk of circumstance to come here to talk about weather. It only annoys me a lot to see immense people already full of cold and in autumn collections from head to toe when we still have many days with maximums near the 30 degrees!! Really!!! I've already taken a look at the new collections and I want colder days to dress in layers, darker colors, knits, but calm... The sandals on the foot are more than allowed yet! Why are so many people using boots, sweaters with a collar and long sleeves, leather coats... if it's so hot? It's September, it's still good weather, don't walk around full of clothes from the new collection, like Zara's showcase, when summer hasn't turned back yet! I don't like this rush that some influencers and celebrities print in fashion, it seems that they are always waiting for the new trend, they use without thinking, until exhaustion, until we get sick and we can no longer see that piece in front of our eyes, even if it's 25 degrees they wear the fur coat, always want to be the first, the pioneers, the avant-garde of that trend, but then it turns out to be all decontextualized and unreal, or do you think it makes sense to walk in a turtleneck with boots above the knee now? What will they wear when snow is falling? I don't know, but I don't like this whole hurry. There it was, I needed to vent! Meanwhile, and until the cold comes back (and I want it to come), you can count with fresh outfits like this!

Jo's Co #26

E uma vez mais trago-vos a minha irmã. Estas fotos foram tiradas em Outubro, no penúltimo Portugal Fashion, e guardei-as para partilhar este mês (onde supostamente estaríamos presentes de novo!). Não era previsto ela vir comigo neste dia, mas lá se proporcionou! Como foi tudo em cima da hora ouvi um inevitável "Eu nem sei o que vestir..." do outro lado do telefone. Como se ela tivesse motivos para preocupação. A minha irmã sempre foi muito mais senhorinha que eu. Sempre gostou de se arranjar, maquilhar, e sempre teve um estilo mais cuidado que o meu. Até no cabelo essas diferenças são notórias entre nós, eu sempre fui meio despreocupada... Disse-lhe mais ou menos o que ia vestir e sugeri que vestisse algo simples, que qualquer coisa resultaria, e não me enganei. Todas estas peças são simples mas cheias de personalidade, principalmente as calças com atilhos, que dão uma vibe cool ao look. Adorei! Claro que tinha de a fotografar.

And once again I bring you my sister. These photos were taken in October, at the penultimate Portugal Fashion's edition, and I saved them to share this month (where it was supposed to be present again!). It was not expected that she would come with me on this day, but it happened! As it wasn't planned I heard an inevitable "I don't even know what to wear..." on the other end of the phone. As if she had cause for concern. My sister has always been much more careful than me. She always liked to dress up, make up, and she always had a more careful style than mine. Even in the hair these differences are noticeable between us, I was always a little carefree... I told him more or less what I was going to wear and suggested that she could wear something simple, that anything would work, and I was not mistaken. All these pieces are simple but full of personality, especially the pants with ties, which give a cool vibe to the look. I loved it! Of course I had to photograph it.
